FOOD POWER
Food flares
Food can cause arthritic pain. Certain foods can cause the inflammation that results in stiffness and pain flares. Common food flare culprits include sugar, saturated fats, trans fats, refined carbohydrates. Wild right? Did you ever think that morning stiffness or pain could be caused by something we ate?
If we eat these foods occasionally, they may not bother us. Eaten too much or too regularly and we may notice extra stiffness or pain. Let’s use the exercises below to listen to what our body is telling us. Let’s tune in and keep track in our 3 day food diary and pay attention to what and why we eat. Let’s notice if we experience increased pain or stiffness after certain foods. Let’s learn about our personal food habits and patterns and personalize our plan. One bite at a time.
